    What you will do

    We help organizations with Digital Transformation. We do this by using model-driven software that enables us to develop customized integrations and applications faster, more efficiently and cheaper. But above all, we make the difference by talking to the customer and putting ourselves in their business, so that we understand the true nature of the problem. The position of Business IT Consultant therefore has two main pillars: IT and Business. In our Traineeship we will teach you how to bring these two together. In this way you will become a professionally mature and independent Business IT Consultant who offers a solution to the customer that actually solves their problem.

    Our Traineeship at a glance

    • A training program of one and a half years in which you are offered 500 hours of training in your first year alone;
    • Training in for example low-code techniques such as Mendix & eMagiz, personality training, result-oriented working, presentation techniques and the working methodologies (such as Scrum) are among the topics covered;
    • Learning on the job; from the first week, you get to work under the guidance of your mentor;
    • Four days a week you are partly on location at the customer and at the CAPE office where you work with colleagues on integrations and applications, but also talk with customers about tuning and progress;
    • Every Friday you are at the office in Enschede or Utrecht to share your experience with other trainees and attend knowledge sessions or trainings;
    • Possibility of an external coach to help you with your personal development;
    • After the trainee program, there are various career opportunities within our organization.

    What do we ask of you?

    • A completed university education in a Business or IT direction (for example (Technical) Business Administration / Industrial Engineering & Management or Business Information Technology or something similar);

    • That you are available full time;
    • Very good communication skills in both Dutch and English.

    The Local Chapter Lead for Low-Code is a role within the UK Digital Operations Team that forms part of the growing data organisation focusing on delivering the vision of the Chief Data Officer. The role is part of a low-code development team focusing on delivering strong product integrations with enterprise systems using Mendix and supporting technologies.

    The Chapter Leaders Role is responsible for inspiring and catalysing the improvement of best practices within the chapters ensuring that they are mastered effectively. They act as a privileged point of contact on complex subjects and take on an educational role so that their team can reach chapter excellence within a multidisciplinary environment. Chapter leaders are managers-coaches serving chapter members and offering a diverse and inclusive environment.

    This role requires a hands-on person who will drive the creation of product integrations from requirement through to finished production product. Able to work with different levels of the UK organisation and understand verbal requirements to take through development iterations into a finished output.

    The successful applicant will join a growing team in a large Thales function. They will create and manage low-code solutions that enhance our business processes and integrate systems to help us make better decisions.

    Primary Purpose of the Role:

    To support and evolve the Business Intelligence capability throughout Thales UK utilising low-code (Mendix).

    • As a member of the chapter you will deliver and support application digital services that are “best in class” to support the needs of the various businesses and functions.
    • Manage business stakeholders to ensure and promote collaboration between UKIS and the Thales UK businesses.
    • Creating and Managing the processes and standard within the chapter and ensuring standard adoption of these across the chapter and beyond.
    • Build, implement and support data visualisation using Mendix. The right candidate will have experience of full SDLC lifecycle project work. From requirements capture through logical and physical design and onto implementation, testing and deployment.
    • Assisting developers within the Chapter with building application products that are linked to outcomes for a given value stream. Using their knowledge to assist and lead the team to ensure technical excellence is delivered.
